I felt like I was smarter with more free time than at college?

Throwaway cuz I'm a teacher.<br><br>I'm back to a busy schedule after being off for the holidays.<br><br>I have a bunch of free time on the weekends and have been going through some courses on diferent topics I've been interested in for a long time.<br><br>I felt like I can focus better and understand the content, and that's something I really couldn't do so well in school.<br><br>Do you feel like the school system doesn't promote much curiosity?<br><br>I feel like I was more interested in school subjects if I had the opportunity to go away for a while and come back. Or maybe is just me?
