Right now, it’s really fucking easy to be “pro-gun.” Will you be here when it isn’t?

I see a lot of gunslingers and play warriors and patriots and freedom fighters on this sub.<br><br>If you think you are one, I invite you to think very hard. <br><br>Now, right now, you can loudly proclaim your “pro-gun” stance all you want and face minimal consequences. I would hazard that most of you have never faced any kind of social or physical backlash for your advocacy.<br><br>The people you’re protesting right now are just as educated as you. They work the same jobs. They have the same social standing. <br><br>Will you be here when the U.S. “wins” the war on terror and everything goes back to a level of normalcy? Will you still be here when people don’t have the same fear level and are easier to convince that we don’t need arms? That we don’t need to protect ourselves? <br><br>A lot of you on this sub right now loudly proclaim that you are willing to die for this cause. Or go to jail. Are you prepared to do so when the mainstream shifted back the other way? <br><br>Are you prepared to be called dangerous? To be vilified? To be investigated? For no other reason that that you dare to own weapons?<br><br>Those of you who are so vocal are you prepared to lose your job? Your friends? Your career? Your freedom?<br><br>Or did you join because it’s the “trendy” thing to do right now? Because you think it’ll be a fun fight? Because you have a grudge?<br><br>There are a lot, a lot of people on this sub who joined recently. How many of you will be here tomorrow? How many of you will be here in 5 years? In 10? In 20? <br><br>This isn’t a war. It’s a skirmish. <br><br>I have been an anti-com sensation my entire life. The people I have been fighting for the past 20 years are the same people I’ve been fighting my entire life. They have not changed. And they never will. <br><br>The mainstream will shift. Society will shift. You will be villainized. <br><br>The people who have been a part of this fight for the past 20+ years, we know this. We have lived it. <br><br>How many of you will be here when the social stigma associated with being a gun owner is so bad that it rivals being a pedophile? <br><br>Because that may be a reality that is coming in our future. So many of you are willing to die in a mass shooting event to make a stand. How many of you will be willing to die, alone and of old age, just as lonely and alone as you are now, but with the knowledge that you never surrendered no matter how bad it got. <br><br>We are a generation away from mandatory buybacks and no one knows that better than I do. I’ve been a generation away from mandatory buybacks my entire life. <br><br>Will you stand by us then? Will you be there to help us? To die for us? To rot in jail with us? <br><br>Or will you fold? Will you cave? Will you surrender?
