Ok, I know this is not the norm in this sub. But I wanted to share it with the community as a whole. The following is the first critique on my second submission, and it really made me question if I'm right for this place, or more to the point, if this place is right for me.

I've been writing for years, but I've never sought formal feedback in any way other than to friends and family who aren't really writers. I'm pretty sure I'm still learning, and I'm still capable of improvement. So I decided to start to take my writing seriously, and I felt that this place was the right place to start. So I started submitting work, and I got critique. Some were good, some were bad. Some were constructive, whilst others were unhelpful. There was one that made me question whether I had a right to be here, as I clearly don't have the standard that is expected on this sub. Here it is:

>Georgia is an active member of this community. You have to define “puzzle pieces” somehow. I’m sorry but this is too vague. Why did you start writing this story? What characters do you want to develop? What plot are you following? If you’re trying to do worldbuilding, you’re going to need to put some actual thought into the world you’re building rather than this vague description.

>It’s not that hard. You don’t have to be some expert writer to be able to see this is a shit post. I don’t know why mods are approving this nonsense. This sub is in shambles and I’m honestly confused why people are upvoting this shit.
