How do I get someone to read my shit?

I'm having trouble finding people to read my stuff.<br><br>I've joined this chambers, and I've asked people to read my stuff and they have commented on it. Granted, sometimes I feel like they are giving me a pushy "maybe" vibe. Sometimes I feel like I'm the kid asking if he can joiin in (see Ender's game), and the answer is always "no", but I don't want a yes. I want to be rude enough to just make them read my stuff. Dangerous territory, for sure.<br><br>I've also posted on my local Freecycling group. I know that the readers might not be critical enough to actually provide me feedback, but I'm looking for someone that will at least read the thing.<br><br>I tried posting on Facebook. I actually just posted it to my wall, and then messaged everyone I had on my list and told them to check it out. That was a bad idea. I'm sure my family doesn't want to be hearing about my creative writing. I'm also sure that I didn't get any page views that way. So now facebook creeps won't be reading my stuff. (Score!)<br><br>I don't know what else to try, but I did just find this place, so I'm using my youtube moment to be thankful for what I have and not my lack of readers.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>Edit: Look at all these responses! Thank you all. I'm going to be reading them tonight. I have a draft of something I'm working on, which is a shit draft. I just wanted to get the story down on paper and then come back to it.
