I started high school when I was my Jr year of middle school, so I was by far the youngest in my classes. The school was fairly difficult, but I never really that much difficulty until I got to college.

The most important thing I did was I started studying in blocks. I would read chapters in 25 minute blocks, often going for 7-8 blocks before taking a break. This is called the Pomodoro method I found out not long ago, so shout out to whoever came up with it.

After every 4 25 minute blocks, I would take a larger break of maybe an hour and go for a walk and watch TV. After every two hours I would take a 30 minute-1 hour break by getting food.

This really helped me get higher grades in college than I ever did in HS. During HS I never really volunteered to present in class. I never volunteered to lead a project, I never volunteered to do anything. Yet after a while I started to volunteer for these things in college. I can't really describe why; perhaps I was just more alert and awake.

Anyway, that's my biggest study tip. Study in 25 minute blocks. This is the one thing that has most helped me in college.

[Edit] Wow, thanks for the gold. I'm glad I could help. I've got a few more tips up my sleeve, I'll post them up when I have some more time.
