We have to hold the view that human life has value over our most basic animal instincts.

The concept of suicide is something that often gets lost in the sea of this sub. I've been here for 2 years, and seen so many posts about it, but I think the sub has to hold the view that human life has value and basically telling people to kill themselves is counter productive in the long run. For one, if you want to talk about the blackpill, it's about the realisation that there is a truth, not necessarily that we have to accept it, rather that we have to fully understand that it's true. It's obviously not the case for everyone, but if you look at the demographics of this sub, it's mostly teens and young adults, and so we have the opportunity to mould this sub how we want. We have the opportunity to create a space that is welcoming and safe for everyone, where we can talk about loneliness, mental health, lack of attraction, and a whole host of other topics. I don't want this space to be as dark as it is, and I feel as though that view holds us back. We are human beings and as human beings we have a responsibility to hold certain values in high regard. In my opinion that is human life. I know my view may not be popular and I don't want to dismiss anyone's struggles, I'm just saying I get immense pleasure out of the interaction I have with others on here. It's a space of like minded people, and I think we should strive for a vision of compassion and empathy. I mean, there's people on here with *actual* depression, people who are alone, people who are lonely, and people who feel as though the blackpill is the truth for them, and that they have no choice but to accept it. I don't want people here to feel that way, I want them to feel as though we care about them, that we think they have value, and that they have something to offer this world. I don't want anyone to ever think that they are alone, and that they have no one to turn to, and I think that the sub needs to reflect that.
