Last night I was invited to a party.

I don't have friends in the classical sense, they don't invite me to get togethers or hangouts usually but I have people to hang with. They never did invite me and they never will invite me to a party.

The only reason I was invited to this part was so the friend who invited me can get the hot girl he liked. So I dressed up, I put on a tie and a nice pair of shoes, I gelled my hair up and I took a taxi to the party.

I got to the party and I greeted everyone without expecting much. I went to the table, opened a beer and started drinking and I waited for the girls to get there.

One hour later she and her friends showed up. My friend was already chatting her up, brought a bouquet of flowers and his friends were helping him. They were laughing at every joke he was making, they were smiling at every word he said.

Meanwhile, I was sitting alone on a table by myself, lighting a cigarette and taking a 5 minute break from the party. At least I was able to get drunk and have a bit of fun. The focus of attention was him and about an hour later they left and went back home.

The taxi ride back home was the longest ride ever, it was raining and I was thinking about life and the fact that I'm an orbiter and most likely I will never be loved, I will never be appreciated or understood.

Then the taxi driver started talking to me and he asked my what's wrong and I simply told him that I'm just tired of being alone and of my life. He smiled and he told me "we have to live our lives as much as we can, we can't give up so soon."

I smiled, thanked him and told him that I was gonna take his advice into consideration. I got home 20 minutes later, opened a packet of chips and I started watching this anime "20th century boy"

I didn't stop crying but I was happy that I was home alone.
