The first cookbook from a US food company was the Toll House Cookbook, published in 1939. It was the first to include the recipe for Toll House Cookies. Besides cookies, it also included a recipe for the Banana Bread, which was a staple over 30 years. <br><br>The point is, the first Toll House cookies were baked in 1937, so it took a few years to show up in the cookbook.
