My partner is definitely the “man”

I (M26) recently started dating a girl (F24) and it just feels so nice to have someone in charge for once.

Once we started getting close, she would just start picking up the bill, shows up to my place with food. She even invited me to join her on a trip. I’ve had a very hard time as I often find myself in difficult financial situations and have come close to not being able to make ends meet. Her gestures of kindness have been a huge relief.

I feel as though she’s the one that’s in charge, driving me around and making plans for us. She just takes care of me and the best part is that she’s not averse to showing it either. She actually likes to be the one in charge.

I’m 26 and have never been in a relationship where I can just sit back and let someone else do the majority of the things. She’s so caring and kind. So much so that I often wonder if she likes me or just feels bad for me. She also doesn’t mind showing all this affection in public and I just can’t help but feel like it’s emasculating. I mean I’m the guy here and I’m not doing the “macho guy” thing right.
