Apple CEO Tim Cook recently shared some of his thoughts about Twitter’s new direction under Elon Musk. Cook stated that he’s not a fan of the direction Twitter is headed after Musk made the decision to lift the bans of several high-profile accounts, including Donald Trump. He said though he doesn’t personally use Twitter, he has been watching how Musk has been handling the platform. In his remarks, Cook noted that TikTok is a better example of what social media should be. He stated he would prefer Twitter to look more like TikTok. As he thinks the platform is better than Twitter, he believes TikTok is a better example of what social media should be, adding that he would be “embarrassed” to act like Musk, who he thinks is "crazy". When asked if he would prefer TikTok to be the example of what social media should be, Cook replied: “Yes! I think they are a model for what I hope Twitter can become.” In fact, Cook said he even wants Twitter to “start acting like TikTok”, noting that TikTok can and should be the gold standard for social media platforms.
