What is up with "We're not going to have kids because..."

...insert reason here, but then proceed to list off all the things you're gonna do with the kid!<br><br>Example: "We're not going to have kids because we want to travel. We'll just travel with the kid!"<br><br>"We're not going to have kids because we want to be able to go out whenever we want. We'll just find babysitters for the kid!"<br><br>"We're not going to have kids because my career is so important to me. I'll just bring my kid to work and take my kid to meetings!"<br><br>"We're not going to have kids because we want to save money. We'll spend money on the kid!"<br><br>"We're not going to have kids because we hate loud noises. We'll just get earplugs for the kid!"<br><br>"We're not going to have kids because I'm sick of being around people all day. We'll just hire a nanny for the kid!"<br><br>For...fuck sake. If you want to have kids, then just fucking have kids. If you don't want to have kids, then just fucking admit you don't want to have kids. Quit kidding yourselves.<br><br>EDIT: Wasn't expecting this little rant to blow up!<br><br>I totally get that some people do have kids and they don't hate having kids and they are more than happy to have kids and they're great parents and that's awesome. I'm not saying that everyone who has kids hates the idea of having kids.<br><br>What I was trying to say was that the phrase "We're not going to have kids because ______" followed up by "But we're gonna have kids anyways" is fucking insane! <br><br>"We're not gonna have kids because they're so expensive... But we're gonna have some kids! And then we'll just work less! <br>"We're not gonna have kids because they're so loud... But we're gonna have some kids! And then we'll just wear earplugs! <br>"We're not gonna have kids because I hate being around people all day... But we're gonna have some kids! And then we'll just hire nannies! <br>"We're not gonna have kids because they're so time-consuming... But we're gonna have some kids! And then we'll just spend less time on them! <br>"We're not gonna have kids because our careers are so important to us... But we're gonna have some kids! And then we'll just bring the kids to work! <br><br>It makes no fucking sense. And the logic is flawed.
