How do I write without using third person omniscient?

This is a problem I've had for a while now. I seem to very naturally gravitate towards third person omniscient POV while I want to write in a limited perspective.

I can't seem to get inside a single character's head and stay there. It's either a light touch of head-hopping or full on third person omniscient. I guess my questions is:

How do I keep perspective and stay in the character's narrative?

What things should I be looking out for to prevent myself from switching between other POV? And most importantly, how do I stop my "camera" from being outside of my selected character's POV?

Thanks for reading y'all!
