I have two questions.

I'm in Maine, USA and this is the second night that I couldn't last 3 minutes outside without one of them landing on me. I've gone to the store, and back to my truck to find a dead one lying on the bottom of the window sill. First question: How far can they fly? It can't be that far, as I don't see them when I'm driving, and they're not on my truck when I leave the store.

And second question: I found I can heat them by putting them in the microwave. I'm sure it's not legal to kill a bug, but I'm sick of them landing on my head. Anyway, I found that they go for about 90 seconds before they're poppin' and snappin'. Do they have an internal fat reserve, or can they fly to a nearby tree and get more gas? It would seem they'd use lots of gas flying around.
