i work on a team that clears out other stores inventory to liquidate it, but our main job is to do inventory audits for all of the stores.<br><br>so a woman comes in today and she had the display phone for the most expensive model out and she says it was stolen...and i know its stolen because only the point of sale phones are that price so i asked her to call the cops to report it. they came and i was like "well you cant get a refund for this, it wasnt even bought here, its stolen, and i am pretty sure you dont have the receipt for it or the box or anything, its stolen."<br><br>anyway i am now the most hated employee by this lady and by the store manager, i dont understand why she wouldnt have just reported it as stolen and kept the money from the insurance rather than trying to get a refund from us when she wouldnt even have a receipt for it....anyway<br><br>thats my vent, thank you for listening.<br><br>Edit: oh man you guys really ran with this. The cops are the ones that took it, and she was mad because she wasnt getting a refund. I dont know if shes still working there or not, but im guessing that the cops were the ones to call her supervisor as they were the ones to take the phone. So yeah, shes probably in a lot of shit. and lol @ the people saying shes gonna steal from me, i already check everyone elses work, so thats not a big deal. my bosses kids steal all the time and i just make sure to make a note of it in case it comes up later.
