How to include personal experiences in a nonfiction book

I'm writing a memoir and trying to incorporate personal experiences/ anectodes into the book. I'm having trouble finding a balance between sharing my personal experiences while also making them relative to the topic at hand.<br><br>Are there any tips and tricks on how to incorporate these anecdotes in the most effective way?<br><br>TIA
