Finally came back home

I was born in Israel but unfortunately left in 1990 at 5. My dad and his family are Israelis but sadly he met my mom in Massachusetts and moved to the US. I never even got to celebrate a bar mitzvah. My father is very religious and while I wish I went to a yeshiva, he never was able to provide a good Jewish education. I became a wrestling scholarship athlete in Florida and then worked in tech for the past 10 years in New York.

My entire life I missed Israel and decided to join the army during the war. I regret not doing it earlier. I was denied twice and then I got in. It was the most beautiful experience of my life. I made amazing friends and learned about my heritage. I speak Hebrew, I know how to fight and I am proud of being a soldier for my homeland. I want to come back home and live a normal Jewish life and maybe even get married. I am moving to Tel Aviv next month and want to meet new friends. Is there a Facebook page or something for people who recently joined the army or moved to Israel?
