Why do some women find it offensively emasculating that men are seeing sex workers?

I’ve seen many stories of women absolutely losing it when they find out their man has seen a sex worker. They take it as a personal attack against them; that there must be something wrong with them if he’s seeing another woman for sex.

I just don’t get why they take it so personally. A man going to a sex worker has nothing to do with his partner, it’s not about them or how they perform in the bedroom, it’s about his own desire to have sex, and he chooses that route over say, using porn or masturbating.

I obviously don’t think this should be a secret in a relationship, but I also don’t think it’s cheats in the way that physically meeting up with another woman would be. It’s just a service, like any other, and I think it should be seen as such.
