Activision Blizzard is kicking in the death throws now, it's a sad day.

For anyone who doesn't know, Ben Brode, the co-founder of Hearthstone, left Blizzard a few years back and created a mobile game, Marvel Snap. He also created Hearthstone, and WoW TCG. He's been a huge voice in creating games that are for the players, and wants to treat players with dignity.

Hearthstone had a huge TCG, before digital cards, the physical cards would be very rare, but you'd also get common cards as well, most players could build a fairly strong deck if they wanted to. GWENT, which is a more popular digital TCG, is like that, the cards are random, the regular cards are not really hard to get, and you can make all kinds of decks with the cards that have been in circulation for a while.

Fast forward to digital CCGs, the cards in Hearthstone are all randomly awarded, so you could get a common, epic, legendary, whatever. But then, Ben left, and they got more predatory, you get less cards for packs, they update the cards far less, so Ben's dream of a CCG is dying at Blizzard.

Marvel Snap, had a very cool concept, it was about the cards, it was about the strategy, they only had 1 currency, and they gave you enough cards to make 3-4 decks so you could play. But... the cards have a tier system, so tier 3 cards, are hard to get, since they are oppulant, having 60 tier 3 cards would be a problem, so they only gave you 5 cards and 5 tokens which is around 1.5 tier 3 cards.

The game was a huge success, players were happy, it had a monetization system, and while in-app purchases were sold, the majority of players were happy.

But... Marvel Snap was sold to Blizzard, and the game is dying. They added 2 new currencies, so now you can only make 1-2 decks, the cards are less common, so you need more tokens to get the cards. But with Marvel Snap's mismanagement, it's dying, the game is empty, and more and more people are quitting.

Marvel Snap wasn't the only casualty, Activision Blizzard was also losing a lot of other great games to mismanagement, like WoW, Starcraft, and Diablo. They fired a lot of great developers, they're never creating any new games, they just sunset games when they are not making enough money. They have no passion, no understanding of games, and it's clear they don't even know how to make any new games, their current projects are just a carbon copy of already existing games without any passion.

Activision Blizzard is dying, and I wanted to say, they did it to themselves, Activision and Blizzard, were both great game companies, creating amazing games, but they have no passion now, it's just a greedy company that only cares about money.

Those were the days, back in the 90s, and 2000s, when Activision and Blizzard, were creating the greatest games of all time, they may never come back, but I hope a new company that cares about games comes out and creates games for the players.

RIP Activision Blizzard, you once were a great company, but now you're dead to me.
