Why did Tohru learn nothing?

Something that was extremely frustrating for me was how Tohru did not learn anything in the entire series. She had the ability to make Shigure and Yuki learn stuff but she didn't take in anything. She got more stupid and ignorant of stuff as it went on.<br><br>I literally can't remember a single thing Tohru learned as she went through the story, yet she had an incredible ability to make those around her get better. These are just a few examples of things that Tohru never learned:<br><br>1. Akinosuke Oda: Her gay grandpa, god that whole scene was so idk what it was even trying to achieve and just made me rage. If Tohru gets mad and is angry at the story's events then that's fine, but she never learned to own her past and I don't think she ever even really considered the whole Shigure and Yuki thing which is like at least 50% of the story. <br><br>2. Shigure and Yuki: Like I said before, they had this whole thing that went on for a good 70% of the story and it wasn't until the final chapter that Tohru ever even knew about it. How could you not tell her about how much you love her and do when you could tell her your past? Shigure literally died and still didn't do it, that is how much he didn't learn to open up. I don't really get why he didn't do it when he realized he was gonna die, like it felt like pointless drama and the story was already so long that it felt like way too little too late. <br><br>3. Akito: So, like the final chapter was literally just Akito spreading her legs and it just felt so weird like she was literally just talking about how much she loves Tohru in the most lustful way I've ever heard and how she is finally ready to open up. She had this whole thing of Shigure and Yuki being the ones to make her abandon the past because they are the ones that really gave it up first, when she was the one who was wrong the whole time. It felt like Tohru was just rewarded with the villains' redemption arc. I feel like this plot point was also dropped like 60 chapters ago and only came back in the final 2 chapters out of 250+. <br><br>So yeah, this story was just so fucking dumb, and I hate that Tohru had zero character development and no one could ever tell her anything important about how they felt.
