My friend's roommate is maybe a spy

So my friend's roommate is a 25 year old "software engineer" who is making something like $220,000 a year. My friend and the roommate are both regular college students who majored in computer science who got lucky and got the job. <br><br>So roommate is easily making a lot of money and for the most part doesn't spend it anywhere. Before my friend moved in, the roommate never broke out of his routine for a single day in years. Wake up, go to work, come back home, watch Netflix, go to bed. <br><br>But the one thing he always does is order a large amount of stuff off Amazon every single day. My friend said he orders at least one thing a day but sometimes it's 4 or 5 times a day. It's not always expensive but he says he orders expensive stuff too like 30 dollar headphones or 80 dollar headsets. He never sends anything back and never gives anything away. My friend said the roommate doesn't like to throw stuff away so he just lets it collect. The last basement room is full of all this stuff. <br><br>Also, my friend said that the roommate was also actually a pretty good programmer but was one of the worst developers he's seen. He's made these very simple programs that he's ok with never updating ever that somehow earn him a ton of money. My friend suspects he doesn't even work a full day and just goes home and does whatever the hell he wants. <br><br>Then, one time my friend walked into the living room to see the roommate "ghosting a phone call from a Chinese number". My friend said he saw the roommate turn on the TV and pull up the camera view of the backyard and then he just started walking around in the backyard but looking at the camera feed on the TV (it was a smart TV that had camera controls). <br><br>My friend said he has no idea what the roommate was doing but it just looked very very sus. Also, the roommate recently went on a trip alone to China after my friend moved in. He paid someone to housesit. He never went to China before so my friend said it was very weird. <br><br>That's the story of my friend's weird roommate who may or may not be a spy.
