You just got a promotion and now your 9 month old daughter is your new student! You need to teach her Icelandic, Calculus, and the history of colonialism.

“Well Lars, in today’s Icelandic lesson you learned about the difference between “að vera” and “að vera heima”. Are you prepared to complete the homework? Otherwise, Lars, you won’t get an A in Icelandic. Did you know Lilo and Stitch can speak Icelandic? Yeah Lars, the parents are disappointed. We’re moving up a reading level, you need to read a chapter of The Grapes of Wrath this week.”

“Lars, you need to learn Calculus to be successful in this world. You can’t even subtract 2 apples from 3 apples yet. Your math library needs to be bigger Lars.”

“Lars, it’s time to learn about colonialism. Remember your ancestors wreaked havoc on the British Isles, so we need to treat your grandpa with empathy. Your great-aunt, Gudrun Osvifrsdottir, was the most fierce female Viking that defiled the people of Ireland.”

“You can’t have formula until you finish your Calculus worksheets Lars. You’re turning 9 months old in the next 3 weeks, so maybe you can get an extension on the History of Colonialism essay. You’re really disappointing your parents Lars.”
