Chambers, you're not special and no one cares about your "trauma".

For the past few months I've been lurking various subs like r/confession and r/scarystories just to see what people have to say about their lives etc. I'm not sure if Chambers is a reflection of the whole world or not, but it seems like people are more and more fixated on their traumas or past experiences. There are a lot of people with very serious trauma and I'm not making fun of them but I've seen a lot of people claim that they are "traumatized" by things like having to go camping or being forced to get a haircut.

The most obnoxious observations for me where when it came to medical and healthcare related trauma. I've seen a lot of people on Chambers claim that they are traumatized by things like having blood drawn, getting an injection or going to the dentist. There are even whole subs dedicated to people who are afraid of medical procedures. Where I live in Eastern Europe, we have kind of gotten used to the fact that we have to deal with shitty circumstances all the time. So I'm a bit confused as to why so many people are complaining about basic medical care. I'm not sure what kind of trauma one is expected to experience upon visiting a dentist or giving blood. My mom had to give birth without any pain killers or epidural, and I've helped friends move house in 35 degree weather for 8 hours straight, and we didn't think we were victims because of that.

I'm also sick of teenagers with Victim Mindset claiming, that forcing them to do something counts as "abuse" and making them "traumatized". There is a big difference between being forced to mow your parents lawn or having to do chores, and being beaten or starved. There is also a big difference between being a victim of a horrible crime and being forced to go camping once as a kid.
