YouTube (and the Internet as a whole) was much better when people were producing content as a hobby instead of a "job"

Back in the day you would go to YouTube and watch videos made by people who had a passion for a subject or activity and they just wanted to share that passion with the world. They would record videos and update once every couple of weeks, never begs for subs or likes and were generally happy just to share what they were doing. Now it seems everyone who produces content for YouTube is only interested in creating a persona and trying to make money off of you. I realize everyone needs to make a living but I just wish there were more people out there producing content for the sake of a hobby. I think this also applies to social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook and Snapchat and Chambers but YouTube seems to be the worst offender.
