AITA for writing "it's connor" on every single package my friends and I don't recognize.

I moved into a new house back in february with 5 other people. We all have a group chat where we put any packages that get delivered to the house, as well as the contents. This is mostly for groceries, snack foods, and any amazon deliveries. We tend to have a group pot luck where everyone contributes a little bit of their groceries. It's a lot of fun.

However, two weeks ago I received a package addressed to my roommate, Chris, of what I assumed was a birthday present. He had just turned 23, and we had celebrated. The next day, two new packages for Chris came. I didn't realize it at the time, but these were his birthday presents.

The next day I got several messages asking me where the birthday presents were. I apologized profusely, and gave them all back to him.

Ever since then, I have made it a habit that If I see a package I do not recognize addressed to another roommate, I take a picture of it and just write in black sharpie "it's [roomate's name]"

I don't open it, I don't touch it, I just make a mental note of it. Yesterday, I got a knock at the door and lo and behold it was another package addressed to a roommate I have never seen. I did the same thing as I did with all unknown packages, and took a picture.

Well, apparently word got around about me doing this, because two of my other roommates were angry with me. They see what I do as weird, and I see what I do as protecting our house hold.
