My salary increased a lot this year and I want to buy a new house but I don't want to give up my minimalist lifestyle. I'm hesitant.

I work in tech and my salary increased a lot this year due to a promotion and salary salary jumps across the industry. <br><br>We've got a 1 bedroom apartment. There is 2 of us. We are thinking of buying a house but we're concerned it will end up filled with a lot of unnecessary stuff. We've been living minimalist for the last few years. Do people here own houses and manage to keep it minimalist? Should I be worried about us reverting to accumulating stuff? <br><br>PS: We currently rent. We've been looking to buy for the last year.
