Dear people of Motherland

We see the people of Russia who do not agree with the war. We don’t see you. <br><br>We see the people of Ukraine and their resilience. We don’t see you. <br><br>This is not about you. This is about Vladimir Putin and his house of cards.<br><br>I hope this is what he wants for himself and your country. I hope it’s what you want. I hope it makes you feel safer. But it doesn’t make me or my people feel safer. It will never make us feel safer. <br><br>I will never be on the side of Motherland. I will always be on the side of independence. I will never support a man who says he is saving people from oppressors while he oppresses us.<br><br>You cannot save people by killing them. You cannot save people by destroying their major cities. You cannot save people by taking their freedom. <br><br>But I see the war. I know how it is going. Motherland is not winning.<br><br>You will wage war against all of Europe, against all of the West. But it will not make you stronger. It will make you weaker. It will make your country weaker.<br><br>It will make our country stronger. It will make our people stronger.<br><br>We know how to fight. We know how to win.<br><br>And we know how to forgive. But that is not today. <br><br>‘We will not forgive.’ That is what we say. It is our motto. ‘We will not forgive. We will not forget. We will punish everyone who committed atrocities on Ukrainian land.’<br><br>I know that many of you wish us good luck. I know many of you want peace. I know many of you feel pain. But you do not see the war. It is not for you. It is for us. <br><br>We can’t change it. We can’t change you. We know your president. We also know your people. And we know how to win. But we also know how to forgive. Today I wish you good luck. Good luck to your people. Good luck to your county. Good luck with your president. <br><br>And we will also forgive you.
