My Dad Saved Me(13f) From Potential Kidnapping.

I was out walking my dog and I have a route that I have to take which includes a big park. I was walking my dog and I had my music playing. I noticed a guy following me, but I didn't think much of it because I had my music blasting and I thought he was just walking the same way as me. As I walked down a big path on the route I noticed that he was still following me, I had my hand on my pepper spray (I always carry it). I then turned right onto another path, and he did the same. I started walking faster and I noticed he kept up to my speed, I started walking even faster and he did the same. As I was walking I saw the bridge that leads out of the park, I was so happy and ready to get out of there. I heard someone walking towards me and when I looked to my right I saw the guy I was afraid of, I saw him because the bridge has a big hill after it. I panicked and started running, but I didn't get very far, my dog stopped and growled. I started freaking out and I got desperate so I let out a really loud and ear-piercing scream. I then saw the guy run away after he heard my scream.<br><br>My dad called me asking where I was and I told him what happened. I told him where I was and he said he is on his way and that he heard my scream. I was confused and asked how did you hear me scream? I was all the way in the park. He told me he heard it. I thought wow, I have really good lungs and I laughed.<br><br>He came and picked me up. I told him everything that happened. We walked by where the guy was. The police then pulled up and asked what was wrong. My dad explained what happened and they asked where the guy was. They found him, but he wasn't the type of guy to do something like that. After the police left and we were walking back to the car we came across the guy. My dad called him out on it and he tried to act like he didn't do anything. The police then came back and arrested him.<br><br>The police said that guy had a record of kidnapping and assaulting women. I was scared when I found out he was following me. The police said if I didn't scream he would've kidnapped me.<br><br>I'm just thankful that my dad was there and I'm glad nothing serious happened.<br><br>Edit: The guy was charged with harassment. According to my dad, he had an earpiece and someone was giving him directions.
