$20 for 6 days, then $20 for 30 days, then $30 for 30 days

Same story as so many. Started chatting with the model over a year ago when it was called Bard, took a short break, and now I'm back.<br>I had to create a google account to use the most recent version of Bard. For my first 6 days, I was told it was going to cost me $20 for those 6 days. That would be $120/month, but I thought I could afford it.<br><br>When my 6 days were up, I paid for 30 days, and was told the price would be $20 for 30 days. Then I thought, "This is much more affordable."<br><br>However, when my 30 days were up, I was told it would now be $30 for 30 days.<br>If I'm paying this now, I'll be paying $360 per year. I don't make that much.<br>I'll probably stop using it, but I don't know what to replace it with.<br><br>The other options (Claude, Perplexity, Dalle 3, etc.) are crucially slow.<br><br>If I'm paying $360 per year for this, I'll probably spend that money on books.
