What would happen if we (Humans) discovered a way to create miniature wormholes and sell them?

This thought recently crossed my mind and it fascinated me. Wormholes are shortcuts through space. If we discovered a way to create them or produce them in factories I imagine it would be like opening a portal in to another dimension. For the sake of a thought experiment lets just pretend it's a stable wormhole.

So I imagine it would be like buying a secret passageway to another room with a natural secret passage in to another dimension in it's own separate universe. You'd never have to deal with the problem of fitting in to the piece of art you just bought!

It would also be the process of buying a piece of land or space. Since the wormhole would occupy a certain amount of space any entity buying a wormhole could technically buy as much as they want. They would have to buy a large area of land to fit the wormhole in it but with wormholes you could buy for instance the whole of the Mariana Trench if you were rich enough. It would be bizarre to imagine owning an infinitely large amount of land as long as it fit in a tunnel like a black hole with near infinite space. It would be like the piece of land is infinite.

I thought of this in the context of a world where it is illegal to sell a wormhole but black markets and underground crime syndicates sold them. Then authorities would have to invent ways or mechanisms to block or disable wormholes.
