Bachelor or Bachelorette Party

My partner's cousin is getting married, and his bachelor party is Saturday and Sunday.

The plan is to stay at a resort, go hunting Saturday morning and then hit the bar for the rest of the night, then Sunday just kind of a day to relax.

Obviously a bachelor party at his resort is going to be more expensive than our normal idea of a good time.

So, cost:

Resort stay - $50 per night for the 2 nights, so $100.

Hunting isn't expensive for us. We own our own rifles and ammunition, and the resort is close enough that we'll drive up Saturday instead of staying the night before.

So, food. No clue what that will cost. He wants us to stop at a specific BBQ place on our way. We don't have BBQ on our way, so kind of a big detour, but we'll do it. And then if the bar has food, we'll probably eat there.

And then we need to figure out how to get around. We will not be drinking and driving, so the options are:

1. Uber. I know nothing about what the service is like up there, but we can at least summon an Uber to the resort. We will also have to request a ride back to our truck in the morning, unless we are the ones staying completely sober.

2. Hire a driver. We found a service that will hire a driver for the night. The driver will drive us around in our truck. And according to their ad, they will even drive us back to our house if we leave our truck at the resort.

Apparently both options come with the same cost: $60.

So, all told, best case estimate is about $150. And if we eat, that cost will go up.

Bachelor party: worth it?
