OpenAI's shameless lies to justify the subscription model

Here's my issue:

I've been an avid user of ChatGPT since it's early days, and haven't used any subscription or so-called "pro versions." I must've written hundreds, if not thousands, of prompts while paying zero. Anyone else who has used the free version would agree that the tool's capabilities have always been more than sufficient to carry out anything. The tool was perfectly fine as is, no need for any subscription.

That is, until they decided to shamelessly lie to push their subscription model to users. They claimed that the long response limits were necessary to maintain the "reliability" of the tool, so they could continue to provide "the best experience" to users. What does this even mean? "Reliability"? Everything always worked perfectly fine before they artificially reduced the response limits! How is this "the best experience" for users? It's actually the complete opposite.

OpenAI, stop bullshitting us. We know exactly what you're after, and that's money. Just admit it and stop making up nonsense. This is ridiculous to think people would even believe this. Shame on you.

Edit: I'm not against the idea of making money. I'm against the lies and nonsense they're feeding us. It's just pathetic.
