Would you be upset if you found out your SO meal preps their food in advance, and you were blindsided?

For background: I (F25) am a very busy medical resident, which has caused me to meal prep the majority of my food. I would never have time otherwise. My food is often 3-5 days in advance. I don't "meal prep" in the bodybuilding sense, but more in the "I don't want to starve" sense lol.

My (M29) boyfriend lives with me. I keep all my meal prep in labeled containers in the fridge, and I have never kept what I eat secret from him.

He is a very picky eater, and will not eat ~90% of what I eat. It's a non issue, and we have never fought over food.

Tonight he made dinner for both of us, which is something he occasionally does. He made 2 servings of a recipe he found online, and gave them to me saying "I made us dinner". One was clearly freshly made, the other was obviously leftovers.

I told him I didn't want to eat what he made, and would eat my meal prep instead. He got upset, and asked why I didn't want to eat his cooking. I told him because I was hungry now, and the food he made was clearly from another day.

He was shocked. He didn't know I meal preped in advance. I thought it was obvious. Apparently he has seen me cook enough to know I wasn't eating it all in one day.

He then tried to eat the food he made, but said he didn't like it and threw it away.

He is still upset about it, and I don't know what to do.
