Is it possible for someone with literally zero knowledge of money to learn about this stuff in 3 months?

So I am 35, married with 2 kids and I just want to ask the gen pop in here, is it even possible to go from literally 0 knowledge (not even exaggerating) to having a solid grasp of the world of money? (3 month timeline is because my credit score is in the crapper and I need to bring it back up by then, maybe make money from that too? I read this one comment about a guy who got a $30k line of credit on a credit card after a 3 month span of opening new cards and closing them, then using credit karma to monitor progress)
I just know I am going to be looking for a new job in 2 weeks and I just want to have some sort of emergency fund for the family, and then beyond that I just want to learn everything I can and be able to help myself, and ultimately my kids with the money stuff down the road.
I am not in major debt, but I know that I am not the brightest bulb on the money tree, so is anyone out there enough of a "nerd" to make their money sparkle and shine in this economy? I want that, and I don't want this stuff to be a total mystery any longer. Can I learn all of this in my time frame?
