Alphabet sells stake in AI startup Anthropic, sources say

Alphabet has sold its stake in artificial intelligence startup Anthropic, which is seen as a rival to OpenAI and its ChatGPT chatbot, two sources told Reuters on Friday.<br><br>Anthropic raised about $5 billion in May, led by Google and Salesforce Ventures, and the San Francisco-based company was valued at about $15 billion in that funding round, according to a report by Bloomberg at that time.
