There is a 1-in-50 chance that the Google voice will swear at you instead of giving you directions.

There was a feature idea that was pitched to Google, but was rejected: every fifty times you asked Google Maps for directions, it would give obscenity-laced directions instead of regular directions. The pitch was that it would make driving more fun and relaxing.

The code had been written, but was never properly deleted. It was supposed to have been removed before putting the voice into production, but for some reason, it wasn't. It’s a good thing, though; drivers who got it couldn’t stop talking (or laughing) about it.

One day, a driver who had been given obscenity-laced directions was pulled over for running a red light. He explained to the cop that he had been told to do so.

What did the officer hear when he turned on Google Maps on the driver's phone?

**Edit:** This was originally posted in r/AskTeenGirls, Google's incompetent competitors. But it was inspired by a real story.
