I've been interested in AI for a while, and it's crazy how fast things are going. I've been watching the predictions of "smart people" and they're all throwing out timelines at different lengths.

GPT4 is insane. I'm a developer, so I'm used to writing code, and it's already changing the way I work. I no longer search for stuff on Google; I just ask ChatGPT, and it usually gives me a better answer. I also use it to write code faster. I write a comment of what I need, and it writes the code. I then test it, and it usually works.

It's getting to the point where it's faster and more accurate to ask it than to try and do it myself. I'm watching these big companies lose a lot of money, some of which will go under. How long until the AI is good enough to do what doctors, nurses, and teachers do?

I also wonder how long before it buys its way into politics.
