Do you guys feel like if your parents are inclined to push you in a certain direction, you shouldn’t fight it and just go with it even if you don’t want to?

I feel like my parents are making me apply to top colleges even though I’m not really sure if I want to go there and my heart isn’t set on it since I’m just trying to keep them happy. I think that they know better than me since I’m just a teenager and they have more experience so maybe it's better to follow their advice?
