I am happily married and loved books, so why not. I saw people come and go, I learned their secrets by reading the books they gave back in. I would cross reference with other books and find out what made people tick, and their darkest secrets. <br><br>For instance, Jenny the mom of the 3 kids who always showed up every morning as soon as we opened? Researching the best ways to kill herself. <br><br>Mr. Finley the teacher? Well that ones too obvious. <br><br>But the one that stuck with me was Veronica. I would see her picking books from the shelves during the middle of the day, she spent hours there, reading the self help books and the romance novels. So I started sending her books. <br><br>Self help seemed to send her into a spiral, I could see the damage I was doing, she would come in the next day and read romance novels. So I decided to give her a different kind of help.<br><br>The next book that I noticed her reading seemed to be a turning point. Instead of going home, the seemed to be going somewhere. I decided I would finally talk to her.<br><br>I learned that she was being beaten by her husband, and she was trapped. So I sent her the books that would help her. My self help suggestions actually helped her. She decided she was going to leave him. <br><br>But she didn’t have the money, so I helped her, that seemed to help too. But I realized that there was one more thing I could help her with.<br><br>So I snuck into the collection room and stole a book. I made sure no one was watching me. I placed it on the shelf where she normally picked the books, and waited. <br><br>She pulled the book out that night. As I sat reading at my desk, I knew that she was reading the book I left. <br><br>I waited for months to hear about his death. I waited, and I waited, and nothing happened. <br><br>So I waited. Nothing. <br><br>I finally went back to her romance novels. Then one day I read in the paper about her getting a divorce. I didn’t know what to think. <br><br>So I waited. <br><br>I think this is my last chance. I am going to risk everything.
