How to stop using your phone?

I am planning to quit using my phone during my vacation. I am going to be staying abroad for 48 days and I want to stay offline, I can't do that if I bring my phone so I am thinking of giving it to a friend to keep for me. I have to be online for school and work though but I can do that with the laptop.<br><br>I want to know if you can give me any tips on how to stop using it when I am there.
