That's what it's called. I'm so dumb, I didn't know. I was just doing it because I felt like it. I hate splattering oil, so I've been browning hamburgs, cooking chicken, sausage, pork burgers, I have even used it to make burgers. Less oil splatters, if any at all, depending on the temp and how much fat or moisture you add. My oil splatter screen has been used only a couple of times in the last month. It's little things like this that make a huge difference in the ease of cooking. <br><br>I used to always use a slow cook method, even when frying. Frying has never been my favorite, I'm still picky, but I'm at least a lot better at frying now.
