Ran out of tomato sauce, what are some substitutes?

So I'm trying to make a pasta bake right now and was just about to open the cupboard to find my tomato sauce and jar, then I realize.. I don't have it. This is a big problem since I was planning on using it tonight. It's 7pm right now and I really don't want to go out to the shop, lest I be idle and my wife gets impatient. I've heard of the ketchup substitute, but I want to know if there are others. What do you guys use when you're out of tomato sauce?
