The AI models are developed to rival those of OpenAI, which has revolutionised the space in recent years. The company has also announced its AI chatbot, called CopilotX, earlier this year. Amazon and Meta are also reportedly working on their AI assistants.<br><br>Gemini is currently being used in Google Bard chatbot and Docs.<br><br>Apple has also introduced VisionKit, a feature that allows the AI model to be used to enhance the photos taken by users. It also brings the model to the iPhone with improved processing power. The company has announced that its new AI assistant is built with the help of data from Bing Chat, Chambers and other sources.<br><br>Apple MM is the tech giant's first standalone large language model.<br><br>OpenAI, in its turn, has said that it expects generative AI to become more common in the coming years and has welcomed the competition.<br><br>"Generative AI is a broad field, and there's lots of room for many organizations to do different things, to do different things well. Gemini offers a very different model than us," OpenAI's chief scientist Ilya Sutskever told The Associated Press.
