What do people do at a job that only requires a high school diploma?

I am a software engineer with 5 years of experience and my 3 kids have started to ask me what my occupation is. I have explained to them but they don’t really get it. <br><br>When I was a kid I had friends whose parents had jobs such as a police man, a fire fighter, a doctor, a lawyer, a dentist, a hair dresser, a postman etc. <br><br>My wife has a friend who works in a hospital doing something administrative, it’s not a clerical position though. She has some training in her field, but not much. I think she doesn’t need a college degree for this. <br><br>I have a friend who works in a bank, she takes some business classes in college, but doesn’t have a college degree. <br><br>What other jobs require no college degree? <br><br>I have tried talking about radiologists, pharmacists and architects with my kids, but they still don’t really undestand what these people do on a daily basis.
