I still dont understand "its not all women"

I was in a general chamber, dont remember which one, and a woman posted about her husband being a good father to their child. Someone posted a comment "I wish I had a husband like that when I was a young mother" and a bunch of other commenters jumped on her saying how she's a sexist and that "ITS NOT ALL WOMEN", you know the drill.

My thing is why are these people defending their own sex in the first place? If you are a woman, doesnt "its not all women" come with the implication that you are a good woman, loved by your family and friends, with a good relationship with yourself, your spouse, your children, your parents, etc etc. In other words, the commenters are essentially saying "I'm a good woman, not like those other women!"? They're not even defending their gender, they're defending themselves, which is why they can't seem to see whats wrong with that behavior.

A man will never do this. I will never say "its not all men" because I dont have the delusion that im a good person or anything, and I can admit Ive done bad things in my life. When a man does something bad, men will call him out. I think the term for this is "in group preference", but I really dont think thats an accurate term. What the commenters really have is "self-preference". Theyre not acting out of loyalty to their group, theyre acting out of loyalty to themselves. Which is why its so easy to point out the flaws in a man who does this because his loyalty is to something bigger than himself. A woman on the other hand will literally call out people who call her out for things SHE did, like shes somehow not responsible for her own actions. And nobody calls her out on it.

One more thing, I dont really like the "women are people too" term. It implies that all women are at the same level as all men, and that there is no difference between the two. Which is just not true. Men and women are not the same, and just like how you cant compare one man to another, you cant compare one woman to another. I think "women are people too" should be replaced with something like "youre not a good person just because youre a woman", that more accurately describes the issue here.
