Frugal and sustainable Christmas gift ideas

I have to gift a lot of people at Christmas but they are very mixed. There are kids, older people, individuals, families, people who do not know me or who know me very well. When I gift people I try to put a lot of thought into the gifts I buy or make. I have never received a complaint or even lack of enthusiasm, so I assume the gifts are well received.

I make most of my gifts, to save money and ensure the gifts are as sustainable as possible. I don’t have a lot of money, so I use materials I already own. I also make sure I use as little plastic as possible.

My kids,

A knitting set

A dollhouse

A sewing set

A wooden xylophone

Birthday cards

My parents,

A cooking book

A diary

A picture of me and my kids

A photo album

Dolls

Birthday cards

Birthday cake

My mother in law,

A birthday card

Jewelery

Hair accessories

Dolls

My cousin’s children,

Balloons

Bubbles

Dolls

Balloons

Bubbles

A fruit cake

Gloves

Christmas cards

My grandmother in law (a traditional Japanese lady who lives in Japan),

Clothes for her cat

Toys for her cat

Knitting stuff

An apron

My sister in law,

Balloons

Bubbles

Dolls

Birthday card

My brother in law,

Balloons

Bubbles

Birthday cards

My uncle and cousins,

A fruit cake

Gloves

Birthday cards

My mother in laws sister,

Birthday cards

A gift card to a local grocery store

My mother in law’s father,

A fruit cake

Birthday cards
