Echo is incredibly good from overheard conversations

I have a few long term Echo devices around our home. I'm still blown away at how accurate it has become at picking up "not me" commands. I had a friend at my house the other day and one of them mentioned Alexa being nice to have, but difficult to work with. I understand their point, as it was hard to use 5 years ago, but I'm impressed at how well it responds to a conversation on the couch. The other night Alexa was mentioned in a group conversation that happened 8 feet in front of it and a room away, and Alexa responded within 30 seconds or so. I feel like it's doing some kind of analysis on your voice and background if she is going to be prioritizing you at some point. That seems like it would help quite a bit with accuracy of the device.<br><br>However, it's still not more accurate than this one other model my buddy has, he mentioned it was the Chinese one and really the main difference is that the Chinese Echo can pick up far away commands that aren't being said to her, and she is able to accurately deliver the appropriate response.<br><br>Technically proficient, but already very creepy, I see why people are against Echoes being talked about.
