CMV: Anyone who blindly supports a political party or ideology is an idiot

The problem with blind support is that political parties and ideologies are not static, they change. Anyone who blindly supports one political party or ideology completely ignores the fact that they change over time. The political parties and ideologies that we have today are not the same political parties and ideologies that we had 20 or 30 years ago. Political parties and ideologies change over time due to changes in society, changes in culture, changes in technology, changes in the economy, etc.<br><br>Why does anyone blindly support something that is not even a fixed entity, but a dynamic entity that is constantly changing?<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>DISCLAIMER: This is my CMV, I don't give a shit what you think about politics. I don't give a shit about your political beliefs, political preferences, or political ideology. I also don't give a shit about your personal political history, political background, political achievements, political failures, political experiences, political opinions, or political views. I'm not interested in debating politics or political ideologies with you. I'm only interested in debating whether or not blindly supporting a political party or political ideology is idiotic or not. I'm not calling you an idiot because you're a Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Socialist, Anarchist, Communist, Marxist, Capitalist, or because you have a political affiliation with any political party or political ideology. I'm simply saying that anyone who blindly supports a political party or political ideology is an idiot.<br><br>Edit: Well, this blew up. Please don't mistake this as a call for people to be apolitical or uninformed. I think it is everyone's civic duty to be informed politically and to be politically active. Just because someone completely supports a political ideology or party, doesn't mean that they're blind to everything else. I've seen a few people in here say, "Well, this is my political ideology. I support it 100%." I'm not saying that everyone who supports a political party or ideology is an idiot. I'm saying that anyone who blindly supports one is an idiot. You can completely support something without blindly supporting it.
