My boyfriend just threw me under the bus for buying a water bottle.

I just wanted a water bottle to keep at work for my safety, but my boyfriend seemed really disappointed and told me I should have asked him first before making such a big purchase. I'm still trying to minimize and reduce waste, but my safety is important to me.
