I have come to the realization that anyone can have a child, but not everyone should.

I am in my early 30s and I am currently on a cross country road trip, camping, national parks, museums, etc. I have been thinking a lot about people I used to know. There was this girl I went to high school with, she literally did not know how to do anything. She could barely navigate simple electronics, had no idea how to clean up after herself, and if you asked her to do something, she would fail. As in, if you asked her to write her name on a piece of paper, it would look like a 5 year old wrote it.

I am sure this girl had a child by now. She is going to be a horrible mother and her child is going to suffer. I feel bad for the poor kid.

There are so many people out there in the world that have children that should not have children. I do not want to take away anyone's right to procreate, but it should not be seen as this amazing thing everyone should do. You either have to be cut out for it or you are not, and if you are not, you are doing your future child a huge disservice and you are ruining their life.
