AITA for making my daughter apologize to her brother?

My 17 year old daughter and I were out shopping for groceries. On our way back home we saw her twin brother receiving a beatdown by 2 guys standing next to their car. It was a clear case of the same 2 bullying a lone guy.

I stopped my carand immediately called the police. We were in a residential area so people were coming out to help my son. The 2 bullies ran away before the police came.

Things were under control at home when we got back. My daughter made a big deal of how we were too slow in reacting and that her brother would have been really hurt if I didn't call the police.

I told her that with 2 grown men she would have hardly made a difference and that she should be grateful I didn't send them into a fight where she could have been hurt too. She went up to her room in a huff.

She refused to talk to her brother, and he was crying. I told her she needs to apologize and she refused. I told her if she is too proud to do it that she would be grounded until she does.

My wife came home shortly and I told her what happened. She was very angry at me and said I was immature for not letting it go when she was clearly distraught over the situation. I don't know what to do. AITA?
